Divyansh Khurana, from the research group cMACS, presented his topic on 'Using reversible redox probes to determine band edge locations of semiconductors thin films for use in CO₂RR' at The E-MRS Fall 2022 conference at Warsaw, Poland. His in-depth presentation resulted in an award as the best oral presentation in symposium Q (Advanced Catalytic Materials for (photo)electrochemical energy conversion III) of the conference. Thanks to his new insights, we now have a procedure to locate band edges of nano-semiconductors in solution, validated using TiO₂ thin film model system which will be beneficial for further steps in the understanding of new photocatalysts for the SYN-CAT project.
